Buck Memorial Library is always looking for volunteers to help on a regular basis or for special events and projects.
Joining our Friends Group is also a great way to get involved and help the library!

Every donation makes a difference!
Buck Memorial Library relies mainly on fixed income from an endowment. Only a small percentage of your tax dollars goes towards library funding and supports approximately 27% of our annual budget.
With your donation we can increase collections, events, and provide more services to the community.

HOW WE SUPPORT THE BUCKSPORT COMMUNITY
PROGRAMS
The Buck Memorial Library provides weekly programs for both adults and kids. Some of our most popular programs include Story Time & Crafts, Baby & Me, Crochet with Nolan, Youth Book Club, and Bilingual Story Time.
PARK PASSES
PARK PASSES
This year the Buck Memorial Library began offering museum and park passes to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Discovery Museum, Farnsworth Museum, Maine Maritime Museum, as well as a State Park Pass. These have been a wildly popular!
STORY WALK

During the summer months the Buck Memorial Library installs a story walk for both children and adults to enjoy as they walk along the beautiful Bucksport waterfront.

Every year the Buck Memorial Library provides special programming for our community members. These include author visits, Shark Day, Summer Reading, and many more!
