Friends of Buck Memorial Library is an organization that offers many ways for you to participate in making the library a lively community center in the greater Bucksport region.
ADVOCACY
Spread the word about our library. Visit often!!
Distribute flyers of the Library’s upcoming events in businesses and on community bulletin boards.
Attend your local town budget meeting and support the library’s for funds to operate.
PROGRAMMING
Be on the Friends of BML team. We meet on a regular basis to discuss and help implement new ideas to support our library and staff.
VOLUNTEER
Volunteer to work an event like Love Your Library at the Alamo Theatre or other fund raising events.
Help set up or take down an event.
Volunteer to create posters, signage for events, artwork or crafts to support different activities sponsored by the library.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Reach out to businesses to sponsor an event such as Orland River Days, Summer Reading Program, Blooms for Books, or Shark Day.
Purchase a book for the library from Book Stacks.
